The Proposed Development

Brenyon Way Charitable Foundation, who own and operate the buildings next to 25 Sewells Road, at 250 Brenyon Way, want to add more affordable housing to the area. They are currently developing the large lot at 25 Sewells Road for this purpose.

The Foundation is adding two multi-residential apartment buildings in that space. It will take years to get from this beginning stage to having a completed building.

The Foundation will develop 25 Sewells Road in two phases.

Phase One

  • A 201 unit building on the west side of the site
  • 1, 2 & 3 Bedroom apartments available

Phase Two

  • A 117 unit building on the east side of the site
  • 1 & 2 Bedroom, senior focused apartments

Affordable Rents

The building will have a range of rents:

  • Some at average rents - We will be using the rents as prescribed by the City of Toronto which are generally based on CMHC published average market rents (AMR). These average rents are published on the City of Toronto's web-site
  • Some lower rents; more affordable to people working at or near minimum wage
